If you want to hike through the Danube region of Upper Austria, there are an incredible number of possibilities: The 450 kilometre long Donausteig divided into 23 stages, 49 Donausteig loops and numerous regional circular hiking trails lead through the marvellous landscape, past fantastic viewpoints, unique cultural treasures and atmospheric villages.
The Donausteig also has the first hiking village in Upper Austria in Bad Kreuzen in Strudengau. Not only first-class accommodation awaits guests here, but also a wealth of hiking expertise.

Safe hiking in the Danube region
