Great Danube Resonanweg loop

In 1996, the area around the Kleiner Kösslbach was declared a nature reserve. The Danube Resonance Trail makes it possible to experience the healthy diversity of the elements in greater depth. On the large DONAU RESONANZWEG loop, you can immerse yourself in the power of the elements over 12.8 kilometres and in 4.5 minutes of walking time. The long loop follows the Donausteig route and the signposting for the ‘4/4 view loop’.

On the long loop through panoramas, forests and hilly meadows, you walk through the 4 elements WATER, AIR, FIRE and EARTH. Each element has prepared itself for guests at 3 places and an element movement device with a rest area: They talk about their qualities - in general and specifically from the area! And they will show you special resonance exercises so that you can come into direct contact with each element and be strengthened.

The starting point is at the Hotel Wesenufer. Then you first follow the element of water into the nature reserve ‘Kleines Kösslbachtal’. At the ‘Wald-Luft-Stiege’ resonance point, the water turns into the element of air. Shortly before Felsenblick, you enter the element of fire, which accompanies hikers along the 4/4 view to Aichberg. The last element, earth, takes over at the ‘Erdenzeitreise’ resonance point.

A total of 12 element resonance points await visitors:

There is also a movement area for each element:

• The WATER element movement space invites you to enjoy flowing movements


• The AIR element movement space invites you to lightness


• The FIRE element movement space invites you to be dynamic


• The EARTH element movement space invites you to feel your primal force

At the start or at the finale of the tour, the 4 group element areas await you at the Hotel Wesenufer:

• WATER - WISHES on the stone jetty of the Wesenufer natural beach


• AIR - TALENTS IN A CIRCLE around the Wesenufer centre tree in the hotel courtyard


• FIRE - SPALIER at the Danube entrance to the car park


• EARTH - QUESTION-ANSWER LINES between or in front of the trees on the bank

The tour also offers new perspectives in the opposite direction.

Directions:
The path leads north-west in the direction of ‘Kagerer Jagasteig’ to the subway beneath the main road. After this, it branches off to the left onto a farm road. After the last farmhouse, continue along a dirt track, which partly leads through the forest and finally ends in the small Kößlbachtal valley (a nature reserve since 1996). In the V-shaped erosion valley, the path then leads steadily upwards along a forest track. After a left-hand bend, the path branches off steeply to the right from the forest track into the forest. After a while, you reach a section with boulder heaps. After this impressive section, the trail leads out of the forest along a meadow path and reaches a farm. Follow the road towards Atzersdorf, passing the Vierviertelblick viewpoint, which invites you to take a break. From Atzersdorf, the trail leads along the road to Aichberg, where you keep left and follow a meadow path down to the forest. The trail then leads through the forest on a relatively level path to Waldkirchen. Once there, it branches off sharply to the left before you reach the town centre. From there, follow the path through the forest on the old Wesen district road. There you pass the ‘Bräukapelle’ chapel. You reach the road again and finally Wesenufer.
