Description:
Start at the market square heading west, downhill at the transformer past a fishing pond to the Vorderkesselberger. 50 m before, turn left to Mösl“, from „Eder“ Haus heading north into romantic „Zwickelgraben“, crossing Dimbach stream several times and after a short climb get to „Herzog“ and „Fuchs“ farms along Ettenberg agricultural road until you get to „Kern“ where you turn right, past „Starzenbichlerhof“ farm and after „Hinterkesselbergerhof“ farm to the left along a field track in direction of Schlossberg and Nepomukteich Pond along Klostersteig monastery path back to the starting point again.
Tip:
For those interested in culture, a visit to Waldhausen monastery church is recommended (audio guide available from the Donau-Geschichten-App (Danube history app)).
A recommended short hike to follow this is the Honigschleuderweg (honey extractor trail) (1.5 km starting point Reutner Inn) with lots of information about the world of bees.
Equipment:
Hiking backpack (incl. rain cover), sturdy shoes
Take food with you. You will find refreshment stops at the start / finish point and on the Schlossberg.
