Variant 1 of the classic Pesenbachtal-Kerzenstein hike!
Wonderful hike into the wildly romantic and legendary Pesenbachtal valley past unique natural beauties.

Description:
From the forest pool in Bad Mühllacken, we hike along Pesenbach stream on the right into the nature reserve. Past the forest prayer site and Gaißkirche bastion. After "Schlager Saletti" the Alpine hiking trail begins with the climb up to the candle rock. We hike back into the valley with the option of exploring the opposite riverside at bridge crossings and get back to the starting point.

Directions:

Curhaus- Pesenbachtal- Kerzenstein- Curhaus 70% Wald, 10% Asphalt

Tip:
We marvel at unique scenic attractions such as the "stone roof" (roof-shaped overhanging rock), the "blue alley" (narrow passage where dark volcanic rock has been exposed by water erosion", the "devil`s tubs" (round erosions formed by vortices) and "candle rock", the landmark of Pesenbach Valley. Along the route the Danube-trail highlight "ways to healing" beckons visitors to discover the Kneipp teachings for themselves and search out cult sites.
