Welcome to the Anton Bruckner Symphony Hiking Trail
The Anton Bruckner Symphony Hiking Trail allows you to actively experience and playfully understand Bruckner's symphonies - during a hike through the hills of the Alpine foothills.
Eleven experience stations have been set up between Ansfelden and St. Florian, offering haptic and sensual approaches to Bruckner's works. Interactive games and sound objects allow hikers to experience his symphonies auditorily and encourage them to delve deeper into Bruckner's life. The hublz app offers further information, accompanied by two avatars.
The hiking trail stretches from the Anton Bruckner Centre in Ansfelden to the interior of St. Florian Abbey and can be walked in both directions. Start and finish stations offer information and a hiking map, a folder contains English translations of the texts.
There are two short destinations for shorter walks near Ansfelden and St. Florian. These stations offer interaction and knowledge, giving walkers a thematic overview. Station 1a in Ansfelden offers a viewpoint over the central Linz area, and there is a rest station with snack benches in the middle of the route.
