Welcome to the Anton Bruckner Symphony Hiking Trail
The Anton Bruckner Symphony Hiking Trail allows you to actively experience and playfully understand Bruckner's symphonies – during a hike through the hills of the Alpine foothills.
Eleven experience stations have been established between Ansfelden and St. Florian, offering tactile-sensory access to Bruckner's works. Interactive games and sound objects let hikers experience his symphonies auditorily and encourage a deeper engagement with Bruckner's life. The hublz app provides further information, accompanied by two avatars.
The hiking trail extends from the Anton Bruckner Center in Ansfelden to the interior of St. Florian Abbey and can be walked in both directions. Start and end stations offer information and a hiking map; a brochure contains English translations of the texts.
There are two short destinations for shorter walks near Ansfelden and St. Florian. These stations offer interactions and knowledge so hikers receive a thematic overview. Station 1a in Ansfelden offers a viewpoint over the Linz central area, and there is a resting station with snack benches in the middle of the route.
