Description:
Wesenufer market square along Schneidergassl (road between church/cemetery and Pension Schütz hotel – Kager (with a view of the Danube) - towards Danube Bridge (via B130) heading for Wesenufer to the beach stairway - Danube promenade to the sportsground via Sportplatzstrasse (sportsground street) back to the market square.

 

Small Danube Resonanweg loop

The circuit follows the signs for the well-known market circuit. The walking time is approx. 1.5 hours. The start board for the Danube Resonance Trail loop is located at the Hotel Wesenufer.

The area around the Kleiner Kösslbach was declared a nature reserve in 1996. The Danube Resonance Trail makes it possible to experience the healthy diversity of the world of elements in greater depth. On the small DONAU RESONANZWEG loop, you can immerse yourself in the power of the elements on a 4.5 kilometre walk around Wesenufer. The short loop also takes you past three personality sculptures: Johann Haderer, Rosa Beer and Alois Rosenstingl. The small loop is suitable for pushchairs and has its own barrier-free section.

You will encounter the four elements on the adventure stages:

• From the sports field to the Kreuzstöckl, the element earth dominates - here you should consciously perceive the stability of the earth that carries you with every step as you walk


• From Kreuzstöckl to Fahrner Skulpturenpark, you are immersed in the element of fire, where you should consciously walk powerfully


• The element of air takes over from Fahrner Skulpturenpark to Donaubücke - a light-footed, springy walk over roots and bumps & breathe in and out deeply


• On the riverside paths, how could it be otherwise, you walk in the footsteps of the element of water. Here you should consciously take your steps in a flowing manner.

There is an adventure stage for each element as well as the WATER exercise equipment in the inclusion zone directly on the riverside promenade near the Hotel Wesenufer.

At the start or finale of the tour, the 4 group element areas await you at the Hotel Wesenufer:

• WATER - WISHES on the stone jetty of the Wesenufer natural beach


• AIR - TALENTS IN A CIRCLE around the Wesenufer centre tree in the hotel courtyard


• FIRE - SPALIER at the Danube entrance to the car park


• EARTH - QUESTION-ANSWER LINES between or in front of the trees on the bank

The tour also offers new perspectives in the opposite direction.

 

Directions:
From the Wesenufer market square, the route first goes via Schneidergassl (road between the church/cemetery and Pension Schütz) to Kager. From there it goes past the Fahrner sculpture park with a view of the Danube towards the Danube bridge (via the B130) back towards Wesenufer to the Stiege Badestrand. From there it goes along the Danube promenade to the sports field and along Sportplatzstrasse back to the market square.
