Small Danube Resonance Trail Loop

The loop follows the signage of the well-known market round. The pure walking time is about 1.5 hours. The start sign of the Danube Resonance Trail Loop is located at the Wesenufer Hotel.

In 1996, the area around the Kleine Kösslbach was declared a nature reserve. The Danube Resonance Trail allows a deeper experience of the healthy diversity of the elements' world there. On the small DANUBE RESONANCE TRAIL loop, you can immerse yourself in the power of the elements on 4.5 kilometers around Wesenufer. On the small loop, you also pass three personality sculptures: Johann Haderer, Rosa Beer and Alois Rosenstingl. The small loop is pram-friendly with its own barrier-free partial loop.

You encounter the four elements on the experience stages:

• From the sports field to Kreuzstöckl, the element Earth prevails – here you should consciously perceive the stability of the earth supporting you with every step as you walk


• From Kreuzstöckl to the Fahrner Sculpture Park, you immerse yourself in the element Fire, where one should walk consciously powerfully


• The element Air takes over from Fahrner Sculpture Park to the Danube bridge – a light-footed springy march over roots and uneven ground with deep inhales and exhales


• Along the river paths, as could be no different, you walk in the traces of the element Water. Here, you should consciously place your steps flowingly.

For each element, there is an experience stage as well as the WATER exercise device in the inclusion zone directly on the riverside promenade near the Wesenufer Hotel.

At the start or finish of the route, the 4 group element places await you at the Wesenufer Hotel:

• WATER – WISHES at the stone jetty of Wesenufer natural beach


• AIR – TALENTS in a circle around the Wesenufer center tree in the hotel courtyard


• FIRE – SPALIER at the Danube ascent to the parking lot


• EARTH – QUESTION-ANSWER LINES between or in front of the trees on the shore

 The loop also offers new perspectives when walked in the opposite direction.

From the Wesenufer marketplace, the route first goes via Schneidergassl (road between church/cemetery and Pension Schütz) to Kager. From there, it passes the Fahrner Sculpture Park with views of the Danube towards the Danube bridge (via B130), returning towards Wesenufer up to the bathing beach steps. From there, it goes over the Danube promenade to the sports field and back via Sports Field Road to the marketplace.
