"The Zille" expands the offer at the Hotel & Seminarkultur an der Donau The integration of a permanent exhibition on the topic of wooden Zille construction was already planned during the planning phase of the hotel in Wesenufer. Now, after the second construction phase, in which the hotel was extended and part of the old building was renovated, the exhibition has been realised.
The exhibition was planned, realised and opened in cooperation with the municipality of Waldkirchen, the Hotel & Seminarkultur an der Donau, the Upper Austrian Danube Advertising Association and the Upper Danube Valley Boatmen's Association.

"The Zille" sheds light on the role of Zille and wooden shipbuilding in the past and present, showing interesting models of wooden boats and the tools used to make them.

The Hotel & Seminalkultur an der Donau will also incorporate the exhibition into the development of its offerings in future. In addition to an overnight stay or a seminar at the hotel, guests can also visit the permanent exhibition and cycle along the new section of the Danube cycle path between Wesenufer and the Schlögener Schlinge to the workshops of the last canoe builders Witti and Königsdorfer.
The exhibition can also be interesting for guests travelling on the Danube as part of a boat trip, as the Wesenufer landing stage is right next to the hotel.
