Riedkirche St. Sebastian am Ried

Andorf, Oberösterreich, Österreich
  • Suitable for groups

Artwork by Schwanthaler
The church “Riedkirche” was built around 1635 to 1638. It was constructed consistently in an early baroque style by the architect Bartholomäus Viscardi.

The most striking feature of the church is the Virgin of Mercy, which is made by the sculptor Thomas Schwanthler and unique in this region. The church’s name tells us that it is dedicated to Saint Sebastian.
