The Imperial toll house “Kaiserliches Mauthaus” with the cultural cellar of the Energie AG company The Imperial toll house from the 15th century used to be a building at the border of the former Empire. A wall picture (sgraffito) gives an overview about the history of the toll house and its importance for the customs clearance of the ships, which lasted up to several days. At the Danube side old flooding marks can be seen, which are signs of the hard times that were eyperienced by the town’s residents. The building was completely renovated and is since 1999 the seat of the Northern service centre of the “Energie AG Oberösterreich”.
The old cellar inhibits the cultural cellar “Kulturkeller der Energie AG” where from April to October many exhibitions of local artists with exquisite music performances take place.
