Schärding civil aerodrome

Schärding-Suben airfield is located 5 km south-east of the baroque town of Schärding off the A8 motorway. The paved runway for motorised aircraft up to 3,000 kg take-off weight measures 800 x 23 m (asphalt) and is located within a 14-hectare area. The glider field measures 1,200 x 30 metres (on the same longitudinal axis as the motorised field). 10,000 square metres of parking space for aircraft. Car park for approx. 100 cars next to the restaurant. Flying school for motorised, motorised gliding and glider flying as well as aeronautical radio; instrument and aerobatics training. Refuelling facilities for aviation fuels AVGAS LL 100, MOGAS and Jet A1; 15W50 oils.

Places of interest in the vicinity of the airfield: the spa and baroque town of Schärding, Reichersberg Abbey, the "Lower Inn European Nature Reserve", golf course 3 km south of the airfield, bike hire, thermal baths in nearby Geinberg and Bad Füssing.
