In the course of the construction of the new main school in 1978/79, a modern fire station was built, which was occupied on 15 December 1979. The first discussions about an extension to the existing fire station took place as early as 2000. In 2007, the Natternbach fire station extension project finally gained momentum, and after numerous consultations within the municipality, the provincial fire service command and the province of Upper Austria, the project was realised in spring 2009. In 2011, the Natternbach fire brigade moved into the building, and a year later, in 2012, the anniversary year, the Natternbach fire station was blessed by Pastor Karl Hagler and ceremoniously handed over for service.
