The Innviertel region's "Brunnbauerhof" open-air museum
was built in Vierkanthof style (four semi-detached buildings arranged around a square courtyard) and is therefore typical of this region.
The Brunnbauerhof farm has been preserved up to the present day, in an almost unaltered state, and is to give testimony of times long past both to the present and future generations.
At Kirchenwirt Andorf we prepare traditional - and European - specialities creatively and gently for our guests. The dishes are mainly made from products of the region. We set a very high value on quality standards in gastronomy and wish that our guests are not only satisfied, but fascinated to come to us again and again !
Between the Danube and the rolling hills of the Pramtal valley lies the Landhotel Gasthof Bauböck, a place that offers more than just a place to sleep and a meal - here you will find a temporary home. When you enter, you immediately feel the warmth of a family that has been here with heart and soul for generations. Heidi and Hans Voglmayr have characterised the inn for over 25 years and, with their unobtrusive warmth, create a space in which every guest is welcome. Both live the tradition of their establishment with genuine dedication and at the same time open doors for new ideas. With a fine balance of the tried and tested and the modern, they invite you to leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind and immerse yourself in a piece of living family tradition - a place where love for the region and passion for craftsmanship can be felt in every detail.
The history of the Landhotel goes back around five generations. Founded by the Bauböck family, Heidi was practically born to continue the business. She is still supported today by her husband Hans, a passionate chef, who has been running the Landhotel together with her since 1998. With a clear vision, they have modernised and expanded the business. They focus on regional products, high quality and continuous modernisation of the hotel. Today, the hotel has 29 guest rooms that welcome both business travellers and individual holidaymakers. The heart of the inn is the regional and seasonal cuisine. Hans Voglmayr and his team attach great importance to using local ingredients. Whether vegetables from the Eferdinger Land region or beer specialities from Engelhartszell - regionality is a top priority here. Particularly popular are the "Biertrebertascherl": small dumplings filled with spent grains from Engelszell's Gregorius beer - a by-product of brewing that consists of the washed-out components of the malt. The spent grains give the Tascherln a savoury note and make them a unique taste experience. The inn's gastronomic offer allows guests to discover a variety of culinary treasures from the region - the region can not only be experienced, but also tasted.
The Landhotel Gasthof Bauböck is deeply rooted in the Danube region. It is not only the proximity to the Danube and the rich nature around the Pramtal that characterise the country hotel - by working closely with local producers, the inn also supports regional structures and minimises long transport routes. Heidi and Hans are supported in their business by a dedicated team of 20, whom they regard as an extended family. Together, they create a warm, authentic atmosphere in which every guest feels welcome.
The large guest garden at the Landhotel Gasthof Bauböck invites guests to linger after a good meal and offers a relaxing view of the surrounding nature. Thanks to its location, the hotel is the perfect starting point for the Pram-Sauwald-Tour - a real highlight for all those who want to explore the Danube region by bike.
