The extensive renovations of recent years have largely been completed. Another milestone was reached in the first half of 2024 with the opening of the Hans Frank Gallery for classical photography on the ground floor. With the completion of the extensive refurbishment, the Francisco Carolinum, the most important historicist building in Linz, has been restored to its original splendor. This restoration has not only preserved the historic building, but also restored its original architectural splendor.
