In the center of the enclosed main square, the city’s landmark—visible from afar—soars into the sky. The nearly 60-meter-high, freestanding city tower was built between 1564 and 1568 under Emperor Maximilian II to serve as a bell, watch, and clock tower.
Its four-story rectangular structure blends Gothic and Renaissance styles and is particularly striking thanks to its imposing architecture.

It’s worth the climb! After ascending 157 steps, you’ll reach the gallery, which offers a unique panoramic view all the way to the Alpine foothills.

When you go up you will see the new Pixel Hotelroom, the clockwork from the year 1564 and the 6 bells. On top will have a great view!
