A blossom and view-rich experience as a real insider tip.

A very special path runs through the Hausruckviertel. About 100 years ago, a priest from Grieskirchen planted 450 fruit trees in a trellis - the longest fruit tree avenue in Austria was created. Originally, the avenue consisted exclusively of pear trees, apparently the favorite variety of the creator of this sight. When a fruit tree died, it was conscientiously replaced by the municipality, although today the choice for replacement plantings is mostly apple trees.
The result is a three-kilometer-long avenue that stretches from Grieskirchen to St. Georgen bei Grieskirchen. Walkers are rewarded on the ridge with views of the Trattnachtal valley and Tollet Castle. This unique trail is especially worth a trip in spring, when the fruit trees accompany the hiker on the one-hour trail with an intense scent of blossoms.

The way back to Grieskirchen is via the 3.4 km long Teufelsgrabenweg with a stopover in Gallspach and the 4.7 km long Zeileisweg.
