The “Eferding Cathedral,” built in the Late Gothic style, was constructed between 1451 and 1505.
This imposing three-nave stepped-hall church, one of the most significant late-Gothic stepped-hall churches in Upper Austria, is dedicated to St. Hippolytus. The church captivates visitors with its net-ribbed vaults, Baroque side altars, a Baroque pulpit, and remarkable funerary monuments.
A spiritual site in Eferding is the twin spiral staircase in the town parish church.
