Musica Sacra: Ochre

Hard Choir Linz

Twenty years have passed, and Hard-Chor’s favorite pastime hasn’t changed: discovering choral music for themselves, learning to love it, presenting it to their audience with enthusiasm, immersing themselves with the audience in new worlds of sound, and ultimately returning from this exciting journey feeling invigorated.

This time, they’re bringing Caroline Shaw’s Grammy-winning masterpiece “Ochre.” What does a color sound like? What does one of the oldest colors have to tell us about our origins? Siderite or hematite? God’s creation is infinite. Is ochre the color of the earth, and did God choose it for us humans? Who is God? From whom did Leonardo descend?

A contemplative choral program with inspiring sounds that encourage reflection and may ultimately reveal your own personal color of life.
