Musica Sacra: Child of Wonder

Upper Austria State Youth Choir

"Child of Wonder" seeks the miracle of Christmas not in splendor, but in its vulnerability.

Gates open, the rose blooms in winter, angels announce the birth, and a lullaby foreshadows violence and farewell. Jesus’ origins lead people back to their origins; in the end, grief becomes a homecoming, and Christmas becomes a mission to find the lost, to heal the wounded, and to bring peace.

The Upper Austrian State Youth Choir and Ensemble Rozeta combine voices with flutes, violin, cello, and harpsichord to create a sonic space between anticipation, lament, and transformed hope.
