“The Art (and Craft) of Local History - What Was or Is True” is dedicated to vibrant local historiography. In German language.

Local historians and regional museums preserve the history of everyday life, strengthen regional identity, and complement the institutional perspective with important voices from the grassroots. At the communale oö 2026, an entertaining stage and discussion format centered on the Peasants’ War of 1626 will take place at 10 “Mut-Orte” (places of courage), hosted by Sigi Kristöfl. It makes historical contexts accessible, honors the work of local historians, and invites the audience to rediscover local history.
