Production prize of the 40th International Competition for Choreography Hanover 2026

TANZ LINZ and the Landestheater Linz are once again awarding the production prize of the renowned Hanover International Choreography Competition, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary from June 11 to 13, 2026. Following the successful collaboration with Giovanni Insaudo (premiere June 2025) and Lilit Hakobyan (premiere June 2026), the initiative offers one of the finalists the opportunity to choreograph a full-length dance piece together with TANZ LINZ.

With this sponsorship award, TANZ LINZ, consisting of 16 dancers, and the Landestheater Linz not only support young choreographers, but also create space for innovative artistic exploration. The high international response underlines the importance of the competition: almost 400 applications from 56 countries were received in 2025.
