Perhaps the most beautiful thing about fairy tales is the fact that not only love always wins, but also the good, pure heart. And this is also the case for Angelina, who is called Cinderella (i.e. Cenerentola) by her hard-hearted stepsisters and is constantly treated cruelly. Nevertheless, she never loses her capacity for love and compassion, which will ultimately bring her great happiness. Cenerentola does not need any magic or fairy-like help to prove the clarity of her feelings and the truthfulness of her intentions; it is her moral convictions that make her shine and allow her to find love and happiness even in the face of the greatest adversity.

In this masterpiece by Rossini, not only do the most beautiful cantilenas meet comedy with great stylistic precision, creating figures of extremes between coarseness, aristocratic criticism and moral a priori, but also exuberant, unbounded feelings that can break down all barriers.
