Vernissage Hermann Eckerstorfer and Gerhard Wöss

21.08.2026 / 18:30
Lembach im Mühlkreis, Kunsthaus Lembach
Ausstellung, Kunstausstellung

In the course of planning for the commemorative year "400 Years of the Peasants' War in Upper Austria", the idea was born to convert the building at Falkensteinstraße 10 into an "art house" to make use of the vacant space.

Hermann Eckerstorfer (born 1952 in St.Peter/Wbg., lives in Helfenberg) is a sculptor, painter and cultural worker. No technique is foreign to him. And so he creates paintings in mixed media, acrylic and paper pours as well as sculptures in wood, iron and stone.

In his graphic works, Gerhard Wöss (born 1954 in Neustift i. Mkr., lives in Ulrichsberg) explores what landscape is and can be. His works impress with their unity and openness, their two-dimensionality and spatial depth, their balanced proportions and their independent formal language, which invites the viewer to enter into a dialog with the work.

Supporting program: literature and music
The author Gabi Kreslehner will read from her book "Wer wir geworden sind" (Who we have become) - a moving family story about happiness, loss, solidarity, hardship and coming home in the long 20th century. The reading will be accompanied by music from pianist Andreas Neubauer.

Gabi Kreslehner (born 1965 in Upper Austria) is an author and teacher and lives with her family in Ottensheim a. d. Donau. She writes for young people and adults and is involved in numerous literature and theater projects with children, young people and adults.

Music: Andreas Neubauer (born in Linz, lives in Altenberg) is an Austrian musician, composer and cultural mediator who performs on stage with various ensembles. The focus of his compositions and arrangements lies in the combination of so-called "classical" music with jazz and underground music.
