With around 40 million streams and sold-out shows, Naked Cameo have long been among Austria’s most exciting indie acts. The trio took off with their debut single “Luddite”: No. 1 on the Viral Charts in Austria, Top 6 in Germany, nominations for the Music Moves Europe Talent Awards, and performances at festivals like Reeperbahn, Donauinselfest, FM4 Frequency Festival, and Eurosonic Noorderslag.

What began in their parents’ basement has evolved step by step. Lukas Maletzky, Patrick Pillichshammer, and Maria Solberger have been making music together since their youth. They’re not a TikTok sensation, but a band in the classic sense: three individuals who have built a steadily growing fanbase over the years. Returning to their roots—indie, rock, and pop—they create music that stands the test of time. For the first time, everything is independent and without contracts.

In an era where everything has to happen instantly, Naked Cameo prioritizes time and quality over quantity. An album every year? Unthinkable. Music is born of friction, doubt, and patience. The path to it is hard.

2026 marks a new chapter. This time, the new album took three years to complete. "Phase To Phase," released on May 29, is characterized by guitar sounds and long harmonic sequences that blend seamlessly into the melody, while everything around them forms a supportive, richly contrasting foundation. “Phase To Phase” was initially available exclusively via Bandcamp and on vinyl. A bold financial move—a middle finger to certain streaming platforms.

Live, it’s pure honesty and energy: sweat, intensity, and crunch instead of polished staging. Guitars meet driving drums and raw synths, up close to the audience, with no safety distance. Every show becomes an intense moment between the band and the crowd.
