History comes to life when music tells it - and this is exactly what happens with "Land und Wille", an impressive project by the Upper Austrian Wind Music Association. Blasmusikverband in cooperation with the Marktmusikkapelle Haag am Hausruck. The association has set itself the task of promoting contemporary Austrian brass music and bringing it closer to a wide audience.
This gave rise to the idea 10 years ago of initiating a commissioned work for wind orchestra and narrator that is deeply rooted in Upper Austrian history. The MMK Haag am Hausruck was able to perform the work at the Brucknerhaus Linz in 2017 - a musical highlight that is now returning in a new form.
In the new edition as part of the communale oö, the story penned by Aschach screenwriters Sarah Wassermair and Michael Schreckenberg is brought to life by actor and narrator Kevin Krennhuber. Together with the sound power of a large wind orchestra, the Haag am Hausruck and Grieskirchen-Tolleterau male choral societies, a gripping concert experience between past and present is created.
