Wienerlied.
A fascinating musical production that invites you on a journey through Viennese music from then and now - based on an idea by André Heller, Ernst Molden and Ursula Strauss. An evening like a staggering walk through Vienna - somewhere between backyard and state hall, between Heurigen melancholy and grand gesture. Nothing stays in its place, everything is in motion. A remassuri: a pleasurable whirl of sound, scene and image.
The Neue Wiener Concert Schrammeln play as if they have the centuries in their luggage - and at the same time have nothing to lose. Voices soar, drone their way to heights that could briefly tip over and become beautiful right there. Figures appear, disappear again, tell stories without words. Shadow plays flicker, bodies speak, music takes over.
And suddenly everything is there at the same time: Schubert and a fleeting thought from today, hurdy-gurdy and the magic of light, grant and tenderness. No succession, but a juxtaposition that cannot be explained - only experienced. André Heller calls it "a lively celebration of the Viennese soul - playful, exuberant and full of surprises". And indeed: this evening knows no drawers, but many doors.
After more than a hundred stops between Vienna and Munich, this idiosyncratic entity moves on - and brings all its confusion to places where you might not expect it.
"A remassuri that sparks feelings of happiness!" (Kronen Zeitung)
"A Hellerian world of wonder" (Kurier)
