FrischLuft Openair 2026. Special guest: Unearth
The band from California returns with great energy and unbridled will - a formation that proved early on that it not only creates soundscapes, but also writes life plans. Their latest work "Searching for Solace" is not just about music, but about resistance, healing and the relentless pursuit of inner peace. After years of being in and out of each other, after setbacks that seemed almost impossible to overcome, here is a band that says: "We are still here - and we will raise our voices." Every note of the album bears witness to overcoming - not in triumphant pathos, but in the honest realization that strength only begins where one was in danger of losing oneself.
The musical language combines harsh guitar riffs and breakdowns with moments of clarity and melody. Lyrics that are more than words - they are a call to keep going when everything seems to stand still. "Searching for Solace" is not a fleeting look back, but a determined step forward.
The band was founded in 2004 in Los Angeles under the original name "A Dying Dream". Since their early days, they have been characterized by one attitude: resistance against stagnation, words against powerlessness. Their journey was not a straightforward ascent: a serious bus accident in November 2015 changed everything - a catastrophe that showed colleagues and audiences alike how strong the community around them had become. Instead of retreating, the band transformed this experience into a new sound, a new determination.
