80 years of Georg Danzer.

Since 2008, friends and companions of the composer and author Georg Danzer, who died far too early and can definitely be described as one of the greatest song poets in our country, have been celebrating the birthday of the public's favorite every year.

Under the title "Danke Danzer" and since 2016 also under the title "DanzerMania", concerts have always been held in Vienna in October, during which the Danzer band musicians Ulli Bäer, Lenny Dickson, Thomas Mora and Martin Mader as well as Andy Baum, Matthias Kemp, co-initiator Christian Becker and numerous local greats from music and cabaret celebrate Danzer's countless songs.

The band with the above-mentioned performers, supported by the powerful voices of Tini Kainrath and Eva Maria Marold as well as other guests, who will vary from venue to venue but will certainly be there with heart and joy (information to follow), will celebrate the great successes as well as special treats and the life of Danzer on Austria's stages and, together with the audience, will certainly ensure unforgettable evenings.

The manager and friend of the jubilarian, Blacky Schwarz, will support the collection of friends on and off the stage with witty words and the spirit that he has brought with him through years of collaboration with Georg Danzer.

Now, for his milestone birthday in 2026 and in honor of a musician who was also known and loved for his social commitment and backbone and who, especially now, in turbulent times like the current ones, is certainly waving admonishingly from a cloud, the DanzerMania gang has decided to travel the country and not just make guest appearances in the federal capital.

So herewith we proclaim it: The Danzer Year 2026!
