Lisa Lasselsberger, also known as Lisa Eckhart, got her start on the poetry slam stage. There, she quickly won over many audiences and won the Austrian Poetry Slam Championships in 2015. Inspired by the greats of literary history, from Goethe to Jelinek, she weaves poetry, social commentary, and cabaret into her original shows. She was particularly drawn to Goethe’s famous work *Faust*. Her special interest in the diabolical was already evident in the topic of her master’s thesis, which explored the figure of the devil in German literature.

Lisa Eckhart is a force to be reckoned with on stage. Always dressed elegantly and glamorously—sometimes in Gucci or Armani, sometimes in Versace—she recites her texts. Her solo cabaret debut, “Als ob Sie Besseres zu tun hätten” (“As If You Had Something Better to Do”), catapulted her into the ranks of the cabaret elite. In addition to many other awards, she won the Austrian and German Cabaret Awards, the Prix Pantheon, and the Salzburger Stier for this show.
