In a world of high-performance computers that operate outside the realm of moral values, human beings are judged by their “market value.”Art, on the other hand, is the pursuit of self-realization and refinement. When they are authentic, culture and art preserve what makes humans human. Seen in this light, an exhibition featuring hand-painted pictures seems (almost) like an act of resistance.
