Ana María Caballero: 50 Ways of Looking at a Poem

At the center of the exhibition are the 50 original, hand-annotated paper versions of a single poem.

Each version documents an individual reading and makes visible how meaning is created in the act of reading. The work is understood as a collective poetic system in which authorship, interpretation and materiality are intertwined. In addition, the exhibition presents further selected positions of contemporary poetry at the interface to digital art. The works on display examine language as a visual, performative and technological medium and extend the poem beyond the page into digital, processual and spatial forms.
