50 years of Thomas Gansch anniversary band.

When I started to be interested in more than just brass band music as a teenager, my idols were a long way away. The Brecker Brothers, the Bob Mintzer Big Band, Maynard Ferguson, James Morrison - they all seemed unattainable.

But in my twenties, the Vienna Art Orchestra became my entry point into the world of this music and over the years I gradually got to know some of my personal heroes, whom I invited for this special "Gansch & Roses" project.

Randy Brecker, James Morrison, Dave Taylor, Peter Erskine and Wolfgang Puschnig do me the honor and make music together with Michael Hornek, Albert Wieder, Florian Trübsbach, Fabian Rucker and me. I write the arrangements and enjoy the party, because when the prophet turns 50, he brings the mountain home!
