Expanded Play: Exhibition of playful media

As part of Ars Electronica 2025, the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria-Campus Hagenberg is showing an exhibition in the Atelierhaus Salzamt.

Expanded Play is a collaborative exhibition that explores different perspectives of mixed reality and spatial interaction in the field of playful media and presents a series of student works from the Department of Digital Media at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria and the Department of Visual Computing at Masaryk University. Expanded Play presents a selection of different exhibits, each of which opens up different areas of experience: from a VR reading corner that allows visitors to engage with books in a new way, to performative installations in which the players' bodies and other physical objects serve as controllers. This innovative use of space and technology will provide an immersive journey through the evolving landscape of interactive art and play.
