Every year, children of all ages look forward to the most atmospheric festival of the year. Christmas time should be a time of peace and tranquillity. This is particularly important at the Eferding Castle Advent. Only the beautiful sounds of the wind instruments break through the Advent atmosphere with its twinkling lights, the smell of sausages and fir trees. This year, the people of Eferding and their guests will once again get in the mood for the pre-Christmas period at the Eferding Castle Advent at Starhemberg Castle on the second weekend of Advent. Strolling, tasting and marvelling, the anticipation of the beautiful festivities increases.

The Advent market has a lot to offer for children. Just outside the large castle gate, cuddly alpacas are waiting to defy any rain or snowfall with their thick fur. There is also lots of fun to be had forging iron together. The presentation of craftsmanship is also a focal point of the Eferding Castle Advent. Lace is made, crocheted, knitted and sewn.
 
This year, there will once again be the popular café in the garden parlour, where delicious pastries and freshly ground coffee are prepared for refreshment. The exhibitor rooms in the Knights' Hall and the Corner Salon on the 1st floor in the north wing are also open again. The Castle Advent thus shines in its former splendour. Surrounded by arts and crafts, music and culinary delights, visitors will be enchanted by the unique Advent atmosphere in the castle and put in a Christmassy mood.
