Europäischer Pilgerweg VIA NOVA

Between Pribram (Czech Republic) in the north, St. Wolfgang in the south and Bogen on the Danube, the VIA NOVA stretches over a total of 1200 kilometres. Pilgrims experience a piece of Central Europe between the Bohemian Forest and Salzkammergut that could not be more different.

The "European Pilgrimage Route VIA NOVA", which was opened in 2005, helps people to set out on a journey close to home.
In Europe, we are thus signalling the search for enduring values, solidarity, justice, sustainable coexistence and the preservation of creation. It has been shown that ever more consumption and ever more material prosperity cannot increase people's happiness.

The invisible, spiritual reality is reflected in the visible world. Traces of God can be sensed in the world, heaven and earth belong together. This is also what the VIA-NOVA logo aims to depict: The individual, the single being is secure and held in the greater whole, in the cosmos, in the divine. Or interpreted in another way: the human being raises his head in prayer and points himself upwards, connected with the longing to be able to connect heaven and earth.
