Short description:
This footpath leads along just over 3 km from the town centre are to the nearby nature and experience spaces of Perg. It is especially suitable for families with children.

Description:
Along this walk, presentation boards with numerous illustrations about the fauna and flora provide more details. Insect hotels and hedges to snack on can be found along the way, as well as a geological information booth next to the stone crusher house, a tree trail along Stephaniehain grove and, to complete the experience, there is a water playground at Perg forest pool.

Tip:
Every first Saturday of the month from May to October, the millstone museum opens the stone crusher house and its exhibition mill. Then visitors can get in - depth information aboutthe history of the Perg millstone carvers and the geological features of Perg sandstone. For smaller groups from six persons, this is also available outside of these hours by appointment. The stone crusher house association has designed a millstone-rally for children - combining fun, experience and information. Seperate dates and times are also available for school groups.

Safety guidelines:
Although the route is close to the city, sturdy shoes are recommended; short, narrow forest paths are to be used in sections. When the temperature is warm, take bathing gear for the children with you (water games).

Parking
In the town centre, only short-term parking is allowed from Monday to Friday from 8:00- 18:00 for 120 minutes, on Saturdays from 8:00-13:00, after this parking is allowed without restrictions. “Hinterbachweg” parking lot is located near the main square and the forest pool (final station with trick fountains) – for €1.50 you can park five hours, for €3.00 the whole day
