Short description:
The Danube-high-circular walk leads through 3 municipalities, from Pulgarn via Forst to St. Georgen an der Gusen, Frankenberg and Kruckenberg to Mauthausen.

Description:

From Pulgarn train and bus stop we walk to Pulgarn monastery church. "Am Reichenbach" we follow the path with the green and white marking. Having arrived on Hohenstein Mountain at 526 m, continue for 5 minutes past a hunting cabin to get to a truly scenic rest area, "stoanan Stubm", with a bench on a prominent granite rock and good views of Luftenberg Mountain all the way to Pfenningberg Mountain! Back to Pulgarn we continue straight at the first crossing, left at the second crossing and, at the third crossing with a hut, left again.
On the forest road we arrive at "Faschinger Rast" after 15 minutes and walk on the Danube-high circular walk back to Pulgarn again.
