The historic circular path begins at Enns main square, accompanied by Laurios. Follow the path to the former Lauriacum legionary fortress and continue to Enns riverbanks.
Along Enns promenade continue towards the town centre. Across Wiener Mountain, past the territorial castle always with Ennsegg in view, you`ll get back to the old quarter and the starting point. On the way you`ll find some information boards with detailed explanations.
Take this unique opportunity to marvel at the surroundings from over 50 m up. Scale the 157 stairs at Enns town tower, past the bells and the old clockwork of the tower all the way to under the roof, where a small plattform offers breathtaking views in all directions.
- Ennsegg castle grounds offer a nice, relaxing green space to walk, enjoy a picnic and take a break right in the centre of town.
- Having arrived at the starting point at Enns main sqare, you can take the opportunity to visit Lauriacum Museum, one of the most modern Roman exhibitions in Austria.
Getting there
on Autobahn A1 exit at Enns Ost – continue in direction of Enns – in the roundabout take the 1st exit and turn left at the traffic light. Follow the signs in the centre to the main square.

Take the train to Enns station and then continue by bus to Enns main square.
