Description:
It leads through the wonderful scenery around Sarleinsbach.
This varied circular route takes you back to the everyday life of Sarleinsbach locals in days past with old photos. Pausing at the individual stations is contemplative and often also enjoyable. The trail repeatedly brought back memories of our youth and childhood.
Starting point of the well signposted trail is the parking lot at Kräuterhof Mandl Inn on the village outskirts. Childhood is the name of the first station right at the school, and shortly after you`ll be walking through the hilly landscape between Danube Valley and the Bohemian Forest. A beautiful rest area is located at Chager Chapel with its healing spring, one of many of these springs throughout Mühlviertel in the shape of a stone monument, said to have healing powers, in particular for eye complaints. The many benches and rest areas along the way are also visually appealing. Particularly beautiful is the meditation theme site with a view to Ameisberg Mountain. At Sarleinsbachblick viewpoint the eye wanders across the Mühlviertel landscape and the enjoyment station downright beckons to put in a break for a snack. Past Chagermühle mill the trail then leads up to the last viewpoint across Sarleinsbach. "A long hike without stopping off for a bite to eat is like life without celebrations" - this quote by Greek philosopher Demokrit is written on the last board, and we have taken it to heart in welcoming Sarleinsbach.
