On the town hiking trail (4km), the architecture impressively demonstrates the transformation from village to town.

This trail can be described as more of a themed trail than a hiking trail. Striking architectural sites can be reached via different routes, depending on your interests. If you walk along the stations (see map), you will have completed an informative tour of the town. At the town square, you will come across the ensemble of buildings comprising the town hall, St Michael's parish church and the former school buildings. The new town hall, opened in 2003, catches the eye with its modern architecture. The first municipal office was set up in 1850 in a room of the 44erHaus, a former school. The 44erHaus currently houses the "44erGalerie", which presents contemporary art.
