Travelling together - on the world's longest peace and culture trail

The Jerusalem Way establishes a connection from the end of Europe in Finisterre near Santiago de Compostela in Spain across the "Old World" to Jerusalem and thus to the root of the world's religions. On their way to the Holy Land, pilgrims repeatedly come into contact with Christian, Muslim and Jewish religion, tradition and culture in a wide variety of forms.

They pass a whole series of UNESCO World Heritage Sites and several apostles' tombs. Along the way, there are many opportunities for interreligious and intercultural dialogue and for building bridges between peoples.

The Jerusalem Trail crosses Austria from Vorarlberg to Burgenland. In Upper Austria, it runs along the Way of St James coming from Salzburg.
