Start and finish is at Kleinzell town square. You cycle past Gneisenau Castle in the direction of Ramersberg (detour to the Maria Ramersberg pilgrimage chapel). The route descends along the Rohrleitungsweg to the Partenstein storage power station (built in 1924 as Austria's first large hydroelectric power station). From here, the route climbs up the Dießenbach valley to the Neuhaus granite quarries and on to the village of Kleinzell.
