The tour begins in Linz and takes you along the Danube to Abwinden. Via St. Georgen, you will cycle north parallel to the Gusen river to Gallneukirchen. Along the Große Gusen river, the trail continues to Reichenau im Mühlkreis. From here, the trail takes you southeast via Hellmonsödt, Kirchschlag, and Lichtenberg to Gramastetten. Via Walding and Ottensheim, you will once again reach the Danube and follow it to the starting point in Linz.

Perfect comfort on rails. Every hour from Vienna or Salzburg to Linz and every 2 hours from Budapest, Munich, Innsbruck or Bregenz/Zurich. With ÖBB SparSchiene to Linz: from € 9.00 from Vienna, from € 19.00 from Innsbruck or Munich, from € 29.00 from Zurich.

The ICE:
Every 2 hours from Frankfurt, Würzburg, Nuremberg, Regensburg or Passau to Linz. With the ÖBB-SparSchiene to Linz from as little as € 19.00 from Nuremberg or from € 29.00 from Frankfurt.
Other daily direct connections from Hamburg, Hanover, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Prague, Budweis, Klagenfurt, Venice and many other cities.

WESTbahn + WESTbus
Since 2011, the new WESTbahn has been connecting the Vienna - Salzburg route via Linz in just under 3 hours. The road supplement to this is the WESTbus, which runs the Linz - Graz or Linz - Prague route twice a day for just € 19.00.

Blue Danube Airport is just outside the city centre, which can be reached in just 20 minutes. Bus, shuttle and train services are available.
