Water is the basis of all life - LINZ AG sees it as its mission to ensure a reliable supply.

It is available to around 400,000 people in Linz and 25 other municipalities every day. LINZ AG provides over 24 billion liters of high-quality drinking water per year, which corresponds to an average of 65 million liters per day (85 million liters per day on peak days), thus ensuring one of the most elementary forms of public services.

But water is far more than just an everyday commodity. Against the backdrop of climate change, it is becoming increasingly important as a critical resource that must be protected, conserved and used consciously. World Water Day was established in 1993 to draw attention to precisely this.
