The boatmen's and raftsmen's chapel in Au an der Donau is dedicated to the patron saint of boatmen, St. Nicholas. The first chapel was built in 1713. This was destroyed by a flood in 1899. The current chapel was built by private individuals in 1901 and acquired by the parish of Naarn in 1935.

The statues and the Stations of the Cross are from the time of construction in neo-Gothic style.

The chapel was last renovated in 1971, 1997 and 2013.
