HOSI Linz has been representing the interests of queer* people in Upper Austria for more than 40 years. What's more, it is a point of contact for social, legal and medical problems, a mouthpiece for the concerns of the queer* community in Upper Austria and a point of contact for politics, the media and society.

This makes HOSI Linz not only the third oldest queer* organization in Austria, but also one of the most active, with the most comprehensive range of services for queer* people.

Almost 2,000 people regularly receive information from HOSI Linz, read PRIDE, the queer* Austria magazine that HOSI Linz launched in 1991, or support HOSI Linz financially.

And more than 10,000 people take part in the linzpride organized by HOSI Linz every year.

All of this is only possible because countless queer* people and friends are involved in HOSI Linz in various ways. This ranges from helping with enveloping mailings, preparing for events and involvement in subgroups to roles on the board and in the planning and coordination work for projects or in the bar team.
