Stifter Hörsplitter walk

The routes of the new Stifter Spaziergang and the existing Stifter Wanderweg lead through the idyllic landscape of Kirchschlag, which Stifter loved and which is echoed time and again in his work. His texts - characterized by a deep connection to nature, his precise powers of observation and his calm, harmonious language - accompany the hiker and open up new perspectives on the surroundings.

Plaques with QR codes are attached at selected points, with which you can call up the audio fragments with your own smartphone - texts spoken by the actor Thomas Kasten, each lasting a maximum of one minute. You can listen to quotes from the "Winter Letters from Kirchschlag" as well as excerpts from personal letters that illustrate Stifter's everyday life in Kirchschlag and show the artist from a very private side.
The audio fragments are not only a literary experience, but also an invitation to experience the region with open senses. Each station is a window into Stifter's world of thought, from the description of delicate natural phenomena to philosophical reflections on human existence.
