Johannes Steininger (born 1977 in Linz) is an Austriansculptor, spatial and design strategist, object artist, sound and noise consultant and designer. Steininger is a sound artist who studied space and design strategies in Linz, followed by studies in the fields of sound studies, acoustic communication, technical acoustics and auditory architecture from 2003 to 2005 (extraordinary studies) at the Anton Bruckner Private University, Studio for Advanced Music & Media Technology. From 2004 to 2008, he completed his bachelor's degree at the University of Art and Industrial Design Linz, at the Institute for raum&designstrategien and the Institute of Space and Design. This was followed by a Master's degree at the Institute of Sound Studies at the Berlin Career College of the Berlin University of the Arts, as well as further university training in the field of "Auditory Architecture" and, from 2010 to 2011, a part-time lectureship at the Technical University of Berlin at the Institute of Technical Acoustics.
