Dr Dietmar Hager has been interested in astronomy since his childhood. He runs his own observatory in the Mühlviertel, where he spends many hours producing impressive astro-images of galaxies and nebulae, which he shows in his various themed lectures. Outdoor events, stargazing parties, are also part of his programme.

Dr Dietmar Hager takes great pleasure in sharing his enthusiasm for the starry world with you. He talks about the origins of the universe, explains how galaxies and stars develop and also presents complex astronomical relationships in visually stunning infotainment shows that are easy to understand.

His expertise is based on over 20 years of lecturing and international image publications, publications in educational videos and textbooks on astronomy, as well as interviews on radio and television and many years of collaboration with NASA and the ESO.

Many events take place in the Deep Space of the Ars Electronica Centre in Linz. Dietmar Hager also has his own special mobile system with his own special screen and a special high-intensity projector, so that travelling through the world of the stars is also possible in any event hall.
